Composite bonding in Cali for subtle, natural refinements

Small additions of tooth-colored composite can refine edges, spaces and asymmetry without turning every tooth into a full veneer.

Localized refinement, not a full veneer

Composite bonding adds tooth-colored resin only where it is needed: worn edges, small gaps, minor fractures or subtle differences in length and symmetry.

Its main difference from a composite veneer is coverage. Bonding is localized, while a veneer covers a broader aesthetic surface of the tooth.

When composite bonding may be useful

An assessment must confirm that a localized change will be stable and harmonious with the bite.

01

Small gaps

Bonding may close minor spaces or balance proportions without treating teeth that do not need intervention.

02

Edges and small fractures

Worn areas or minor chips can be rebuilt with composite bonded to enamel.

03

Direct repair

The material is placed in the practice and can often be polished or repaired locally when required.

Precision in every small addition

A conservative procedure still requires careful diagnosis of function, shade and surface.

01

Diagnosis

Enamel, spaces, bite, habits and gums are evaluated to define which areas may benefit.

02

Bonding and sculpting

The surface is conditioned and composite is layered until the planned shape is achieved.

03

Finishing and maintenance

We polish the surface, review contacts and bite, and explain the follow-up schedule.

Composite bonding questions

How long does composite bonding last?

As general guidance, bonding may remain functional for approximately 3–7 years. Size, bite, grinding, habits and maintenance can change that expectation considerably.

Does bonding require tooth reduction?

Many cases involve minimal preparation or enamel conditioning only, but the same protocol cannot be assumed for every tooth. An examination determines the approach.

Can bonding be repaired if it chips?

Composite often permits localized repair. The reason for the chip and the bite should be evaluated before repair.

Can bonding create a complete smile makeover?

Bonding is intended for focused refinements. Broader changes in shape or shade may require veneers or another treatment option.
